Pore expansion scar removal, solved with Coratherapy! Treatment for depressed scars at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic.
Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of Coratherapy for scar removal.
Enlarged pore scars are not simply widened pores but rather a scar issue caused by improper extraction.
The habit of forcibly squeezing out sebum with your hands damages the pore walls, causing permanent enlargement,
and eventually leaving deep scars that are almost impossible to heal naturally.
Such scars are difficult to improve with general skincare, leaving many people concerned.
However, recently, skin regeneration treatments like Coratherapy have been increasingly successful
in effectively improving enlarged pore scars such as ice pick scars.
In this article, we will discuss, based on actual treatment cases, how Coratherapy works to restore the skin,
and why it is a suitable method for treating enlarged pore scars in detail.

Case :: Deep enlarged pore scars on the cheeks
History :: No prior treatment experience
Report :: Six sessions of Coratherapy
Today’s case is about a woman in her 50s who visited us due to deep scars on her cheeks caused by squeezing sebum with her hands.
The patient mentioned that she only extracted sebum, but deep, hole-like scars appeared near her nose,
which left her very distressed. Before the treatment, she was worried, saying, “What if it doesn’t work?”
and was hesitant to try other treatments until she came across Coratherapy and decided to visit Rodam.
During the treatment, the patient often expressed concerns, saying, “The scars are so deep, I don’t think it’s working.”
However, for deep hole-like scars like these, the bottom layer of the scar is so deep that it can be difficult to notice improvement in the early stages of treatment.
But with consistent treatment, the bottom layer gradually fills in, and recovery becomes visible.
After the third session, you can clearly see the changes in the photos.
Although the bottom layer is still deep, the feeling of a gaping hole has diminished, and the depth has become more gradual.
Additionally, you can notice that the boundary between the scar and the surrounding normal skin has become smoother.

In the photos after the fifth session, you can see that all parts of the scar, except for a slight indentation in the upper right area,
have filled in well. The remaining indentation was improved through the sixth session,
and the skin recovered cleanly without any noticeable difference from the surrounding normal skin,
allowing us to conclude the treatment without additional touch-up sessions.

So, how was it possible to treat such deep enlarged pore scars?
This is due to the treatment principle of Coratherapy.
Coratherapy does not simply stimulate the skin’s surface;
it involves breaking down adhesion tissues and inducing the regeneration of damaged skin.
By using specialized needles to stimulate the dermis layer, it promotes the generation of regenerative substances, enhancing the skin’s recovery ability.
New collagen and elastic fibers are formed, gradually filling in the deeply indented enlarged pore scars.
This process makes it possible to improve scars that are difficult to heal naturally.
However, not all treatments labeled as Coratherapy yield the same results.
Since it is a hands-on procedure, receiving proper treatment from experienced medical professionals is essential to achieve the desired results.
Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic’s Coratherapy has been practiced since 2006, making it the longest-standing Coratherapy available today.
