Treatment of Different Shaped Scars at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic with Coratherapy
Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of scar removal with Coratherapy.
The skin is one of the important factors that determine first impressions.
Clear skin goes beyond just appearance; it conveys a neat and organized impression,
and sends the message that the person has good self-care and lifestyle habits.
For this reason, many people pay attention to skin care,
and scars left on the face can affect not only personal image and memories,
but also social relationships.
As a result, more and more people are visiting Rodam for scar treatment.
Many people think that a single scar will heal quickly,
while scars of various shapes gathered together may seem difficult to treat.
However, this is not true.
Coratherapy treatment can simultaneously address scars regardless of their number or shape,
effectively improving even complex scar formations.
Today, we would like to explain how Coratherapy works through a real treatment case
involving multiple types of scars in one area.

Case :: Fingernail scar (beside the nose and mouth), chickenpox scar, short vertical scratch scar
History :: No prior treatment experience
Report :: 5 sessions of Coratherapy completed
The patient introduced today had various scars concentrated on one cheek, specifically beside the nose and mouth.
These included a long scar caused by a fingernail, a depressed chickenpox scar, and a short vertical scratch scar,
making it a case with three different types of scars.
In particular, the long fingernail scar on the front of the face was a significant source of stress for the patient.
Each scar had different depths and shapes, requiring a meticulous approach to align their levels during the treatment process.
The patient had previously thought that such customized treatment was impossible and had given up.
However, upon learning about Coratherapy, which allows for individualized treatment based on the characteristics of each scar,
they decided to undergo the procedure.
After the third session, the most noticeable change was in the continuity of the long scar.
The base of the fingernail scar, which had been prominently located on the front of the face, began to rise gradually,
and except for some deeper areas, the difference from the surrounding normal skin became significantly less noticeable.
Additionally, the chickenpox scar and the short scratch scar also showed reduced depth,
with the previously distinct boundaries becoming blurred, resulting in an overall smoother skin texture.

By the fifth session, when all treatments were completed, even more noticeable improvements were observed.
The scars had filled in significantly, with the boundaries blending almost seamlessly with the surrounding skin.
The long fingernail scar and the short scratch scar showed over 90% improvement, becoming nearly invisible.
In the case of the chickenpox scar, the base had sufficiently risen, achieving recovery.
However, as it was located on the cheekbone area under the eye, simply leveling it could make it appear sunken.
For scars in such curved areas, recovery needs to exceed 110–120% of the surrounding skin level for a more natural improvement.
The patient was aware of this but was already satisfied with the significant improvement,
so the treatment was concluded after the fifth session.

As demonstrated, Coratherapy can effectively treat different types of scars even when they are concentrated in the same area.
This is due to the treatment principles of Coratherapy.
Developed by Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic since 2006,
this treatment for depressed scars activates the skin’s natural regenerative power to encourage new skin growth.
During the procedure, specially designed needles are used to break down adhered tissues and stimulate the dermis,
helping regenerative substances fill in the depressed areas of the scars.
Through this process, the skin regenerates itself, gradually improving the scars.
Additionally, as the treatment targets only the scarred areas without stimulating the entire skin,
it is effective even for cases with various types of scars.
Moreover, as the dermis layer is fundamentally restored, the improved scars do not sink back over time.
Scars can have a significant psychological impact beyond just appearance.
Particularly for scars on visible areas like the face, they can be even more concerning.
However, with Coratherapy, even various types of scars can be sufficiently improved.
