T-zone acne inflammation injection scar treatment, Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic Coratherapy
Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of Coratherapy for scar removal.
The T-zone, where sebum secretion is active, is a common area for acne to occur regardless of gender.
When acne appears, many people try to resolve it through extraction or anti-inflammatory injections,
but if the anti-inflammatory injection is administered incorrectly, it can lead to side effects such as indentations in the treated area.
To treat such scars, methods like fillers are sometimes attempted,
but most of these provide only temporary effects.
To fundamentally restore the skin, treatment that regenerates damaged tissue is necessary.
At Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, we recommend Coratherapy, which aids in skin regeneration.
In this article, we will introduce its effects and process in detail through a real case study.

Case :: Indented scars on the forehead and nose
History :: A woman in her 20s developed indented scars on her nose and glabella due to irritation from acne anti-inflammatory injections
Report :: 5 sessions of Coratherapy for the forehead, 9 sessions for the nose
The TA injection, commonly referred to as an anti-inflammatory injection, is often considered
for severe or cystic acne due to its strong anti-inflammatory effects.
However, this injection is used to suppress collagen fiber synthesis
in keloid or hypertrophic scars, which are raised scars.
As a result, it can cause indentations in the treated area as a side effect.
The case we will discuss today is also an example of indented scars caused by an anti-inflammatory injection.
The patient in this case is a woman in her 20s who developed indented scars
on her glabella and nose after receiving TA injections for acne inflammation management.
Although filler treatment, which provides immediate results, was considered,
she opted for Coratherapy at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic’s Gasan-Geumcheon branch
for a more permanent solution.

Before the treatment, distinct indented scars were observed on the nose and glabella.
By the third session, the depth and size of the scars had noticeably reduced compared to the initial state.
In particular, the scars on the forehead had improved to the extent that they were almost invisible
when viewed from the front.
However, the indented scars on the nose, which are more challenging to treat,
were still visible even after the third session.

By the end of the fifth session, significant improvement was observed in the glabella scars,
and the treatment was concluded after the fifth session.
However, the scars on the nose still showed visible boundaries and were still noticeable in size,
so additional treatment was carried out for the nose.

By the end of the ninth session, the indented scars on the nose had improved to the point
where they were barely noticeable.
The patient chose to space out the treatment sessions by 5–6 weeks.
Coratherapy is effective even with longer intervals between sessions,
allowing the patient to receive treatment at her convenience.
Since the treatment was not rushed, it was possible to monitor the recovery progress
and proceed with the treatment accordingly.
Coratherapy is a treatment method that directly promotes
the regeneration of new skin in the scarred area.
Unlike fillers, which provide temporary solutions,
it activates the skin’s natural regenerative abilities to fundamentally improve scars.
Because the skin regenerates itself, as mentioned earlier,
the interval between sessions is not a significant issue.
However, sufficient time for skin recovery is necessary,
so it is recommended to maintain at least a two-week interval
between Coratherapy sessions.

Indented scars can be a source of stress,
but they can be significantly improved with appropriate treatment.
