Boxcar and Ice Pick Acne Scar Treatment with Coratherapy at Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic

Hello, this is Rodam Korean Medicine Clinic, the beginning of Coratherapy for scar removal.
Acne is stressful when it appears, but
the scars left behind after acne disappears are a concern for many people.
In particular, boxcar and ice pick acne scars on the forehead are more noticeable, making them more bothersome.
Such depressed scars require medical treatment
to restore the skin to its previous state.
There are various methods such as lasers, Juvelook, fillers, and dot peels,
but in today’s post, we would like to talk about Coratherapy,
a Korean medicine treatment method that utilizes the skin’s regenerative power,
along with an actual case study.

Case :: Forehead acne scars with mixed boxcar and ice pick scars

History :: No prior scar treatment experience

Report :: 9 sessions of Coratherapy conducted

The case we are introducing today involves a forehead acne scar case
with distinct boxcar scars and deep ice pick scars.
The patient had acne on their forehead that subsided but left scars,
and they had not received any treatment until now.
They came across Rodam on social media and decided to try it,
and even with just the trial, they felt the effects and began full-scale treatment.
After the first session, a detailed consultation was conducted to establish a treatment plan,
and in addition to the initial session, 8 more sessions were performed,
making a total of 9 Coratherapy treatments.

Before the first session, the scars were clearly visible, and the skin surface was uneven.
After the 5th session, the scars were reduced, and the skin texture gradually became smoother.
However, a large scar on the right side was still prominent,
and the base had not risen sufficiently, leaving a difference compared to the surrounding skin.
Therefore, the remaining 4 sessions were aimed at stimulating the scar area more delicately
and blending it naturally with the surrounding skin.

At the end of the 9th session,
it was confirmed that the treatment goals had been achieved.
The prominent boxcar and ice pick scars were significantly improved,
and the skin surface became much smoother.
In particular, the overall skin texture on the forehead was evenly refined.

As shown, Coratherapy can effectively treat depressed scars.
So, what makes Coratherapy effective for treating depressed scars?

Coratherapy is a Korean medicine treatment that promotes skin regeneration by
breaking the adhesion beneath the skin to create space for new skin to naturally rise,
and guiding regenerative substances to fill in and regenerate the skin.
Rodam’s Coratherapy, in particular,
has been practiced since 2006, treating scars for 20 years,
accumulating expertise and advancing techniques.
Unlike conventional straight needles, Rodam’s Coratherapy uses
an L-shaped incision needle, which not only pricks the scar but
stimulates it as if sculpting.
Additionally, the incision needle itself has been refined to be thinner and more precise,
allowing for more delicate stimulation of scars.

Rodam has continuously developed its treatment methods and tools
to effectively treat depressed scars.
This dedication stems from Rodam’s commitment
to healing not only the physical scars but also the emotional wounds
of those who struggle with their scars.

Scars are not just remnants on the skin.
Particularly, scars on the face, which we see every day in the mirror,
often lead to regrets like,
‘If only I had taken better care back then, I wouldn’t have these scars.’

However, you no longer need to regret.
Scars that seemed difficult to treat can improve,
and your skin can recover to its original state.
Rodam has been tirelessly researching and evolving to make this possible.

We hope today’s post has helped alleviate
some of your concerns about scars.
